Beacon restaurant and bar opens in Marblehead’s former Wick space

A brand new dining venue is making its debut on the North Shore, and a local artist with ties to Las Vegas is behind the scenes.

According to one article The Beacon restaurant and bar from Marblehead Reporter/Wicked Local will open in the old Wick space of Warwick Place in Marblehead. Johnny Ray of Johnny Ray Band and chef Edgar Alleyne, the business partner of the now-closed Red Rock Bistro, are at the back of Pleasant Street. . An inspection on the restaurant website mentioned that it will include a bar and an outdoor terrace, while live music, dance and comedy performances are also part of the plan. The website also hints that today may actually be its opening day; once we confirm this, we will post an update here.

Johnny Ray is a singer, partly known for his casual music as well as pop, soul and classic rock, having performed in the Greater Boston area, Las Vegas and other places.

The address of The Beacon Restaurant & Bar is 123 Pleasant Street, Marblehead, MA, 01945. Its website can be found at
